Printer Info
You can accept the defaults for the printer shown or make modifications to suit your needs.
Printer Name:
If you change the name of the printer, a new printer entry will be created - the information displayed for the current printer will remain unchanged with the new information appearing under the new printer name. If you leave the printer name unchanged then any changes you make will be saved under the current printer name.
Line Per Page:
This defines the number of PRINT lines to print on a page. It does not include space for the top and/or bottom margin on the page.
This entry is affected mostly by the number of lines/inch you want to print at. A number of different choices for lines/inch have been included for many of the printers supported. Typically, when printing in portrait mode at 6 lines/inch, the value of 58-60 is a good choice. But, if printing more lines/inch, you can fit more on a page.
This parameter is most important when trying to fit a complete schedule on a single page.
Pause after each page:
Set this to 'Y' (Yes) if you need printing to pause to allow you to manually change paper for each page.
Printer Initialization:
Initialization string (if needed) to send to printer prior to printing. Enter the values as decimal numbers separated by either spaces or commas. For example, to send an 'Escape @' you would enter
27,64 or 27 64
If you are using a laser printer or need to send an actual character string, you may enclose the string in double quotes ("). For example
"&hgl"
CPI 10:
Codes to send to printer to set up printing at 10 characters per inch.
CPI 12:
Codes to send to printer to set up printing at 12 characters per inch.
CPI 17:
Codes to send to printer to set up printing at 17 characters per inch.
Reset:
Codes to send to printer to issue the Reset Command (if needed).
Printer Box Characters:
Enter the codes for the characters you wish to use for drawing lines and boxes (primarily used for the Draw Charts but also used in other reports).
