(def) Single-Elimination

Single-Elimination -- This is the very basic Elimination tournament. All the teams are paired up for round one. All the teams that won the round one games are paired up against each other for round two, and so on until there are only two teams in the round, and the winner of that game is the tournament champion.

Sometimes a consolation game will be scheduled that matches the losers from the two games in the second to last round to determine third and fourth team placements.
