Tournament Time for Windows Help File

(def) Field Time Slot

Field Time Slot -- Before Tournament Time creates a schedule, there is no guarantee that a game will be placed at any particular time on any field.

You create "field time slots" on each field which are "potential" play times for games. During schedule generation, Tournament Time will then use these to create enough "slots" for the schedule. Finally, Tournament Time will go and assign team "pairs" to the slots, creating games.

There is no guarantee that all existing slots will be used, since various rules might make it impossible.

It is suggested that you give significant thought to how you lay out your "Field time slots" to provide a pattern of slots that fits your schedule well.
