Equipment Reports Menu
- Inventory -- Print a list of all your equipment inventory; Total owned, number still on hand, and price.
- Distributions -- Show what equipment items have been distributed to whom.
- Outstanding -- Show which teams haven't returned their equipment yet.
- Standard Issue -- Print a listing of the assigned standard issue of equipment for each division.
- Uniforms -- Print a form showing the Uniform Numbers and Sizes for each player. This form leave blanks for players with no sizes assigned so that you can give the forms to the coaches to be filled in.
- Uniform Orders -- This prints a summary of all the uniform Shirt and Pants sizes, and gives you a shopping list. For this report to work, you must have the equipment items "Shirt", "Pants", "Socks", "Shoes" and "Hat" defined if you want those items on the shopping list (so the prices can be looked up).
Print Equipment Reports
LAS includes a number of equipment reports that you can print in order to better manage equipment responsibilities. To access them, just select [Print Reports] from the Equipment menu.
Reports will open in the WinPrint viewer. If the report you generate looks accurate, click the [Print] button to print it. If you need to change printer settings, such as to rotate the printout for landscape printing, choose Printer Setup from WinPrint's file menu. To close the viewer, click [Close].
Inventory
This report shows a list of all equipment in the league inventory, the total count of each item, the cost of each item, the amount of each item distributed, the number of items available for distribution and the total value of the inventory. Use this report to see the value of your equipment and to make decisions about reordering equipment. If inventories are too low, you will want to order new items based on the information in this report. If quantities of expensive items get too high, you will want to suspend ordering of unnecessary inventory.
You have two choices for printing inventory reports. The alphabetical option will list equipment in alphabetical order (e.g. bats will come before shirts). The numerical option will list equipment by item number.
Distributions
This report lists each team and the equipment that was distributed to each team. The cost of the equipment is included on each list to inform managers of the worth of the equipment. This report also contains information about the number of returned items. Use this report to keep track of what each team has received and what they have returned. At equipment collection time, the equipment manager can use this report as a checklist to record all returns.
You can print a distribution report for the entire league, a specific division, or a specific team. To print a report for the entire league, leave both the division and team input boxes empty. To print a report for a specific division, enter a division name or choose from the list by clicking on the arrow - and leave the team input box empty. To print a report for a single team, enter the division name as well as a team name.
Outstanding
This feature produces a quick reference report of all teams with outstanding equipment. Only teams with outstanding equipment are listed. Each manager's name and phone number is listed to simplify follow-up of those teams who are slow on equipment returns.
You can print outstanding equipment reports for a specific team, a specific division, or the entire league. LAS will prompt you to enter division and team names. To print a report for a single team, enter the division name as well as a team name. You can select from a list of divisions and teams by clicking the arrow to the right of each box. To print a report for a specific division, enter a division name or choose from the list by clicking on the arrow - and leave the team input box empty. To print a report for the entire league, leave both the division and team input boxes empty.
Standard Issue
This report displays the list of inventory items set up as the standard issue for a division. The report shows the inventory control number, item description and the amount to allocate to each team. The most important use for this report is to verify the list of items automatically distributed to each team and to keep a record for future planning.
You can specify a specific division, or leave the division field blank in order to print a report for the entire league.
Uniforms
This report gives you a listing for each team's players with their phone number, their uniform number(s), sizes, and an area for you to use to control uniform distributions and collections. This report is also useful as a tracking sheet to indicate whether each player received their uniform and for collecting uniforms at the end of the season.
Again, this report may be printed for every team by leaving the division name blank or for a whole division by entering the division name and leaving the team name blank. You can also specify whether or not this report is for an "all star" team.
Uniform Orders
This report consolidates all your uniform sizes into a single compact list. If your inventory list contains items such as "Shirts," "Pants," "Hats," "Socks" and "Shoes," then the uniform orders report will use these prices to calculate the total costs. Notice that you may even control uniform prices that vary by size and/or color. See the discussion under Inventory on page 162 for how to set up your uniform inventory to make this report most effective.
When you select [Uniform Orders] from the [Print Reports] submenu, LAS will bring up a player filter options box. Here, you can input options that let you generate an order report for specific divisions and teams, as well as specific ages or grade ranges (if you desire).
