Auto Draft

Auto Draft
Auto draft is a powerful way to automatically assign the players in your league to specific divisions.
All you have to do is:
- Make sure the players get put on the correct age group division during registration (see Player Registration for more about automatically doing this )
- Then, create the teams in that division
- And finally, fill in a little information on the auto-draft parameters window about how you want the players to be distributed.
And you're done! Wasn't that easy?
Here are the meanings of the parameters in the auto-draft parameters window:
| Division | This is the division in which LAS will look for players and teams. |
| Draft Order | After filling in a division, you can click this button; LAS will then bring up a browse window showing all the teams in the specified division sorted alphabetically and all with a draft order number of "0". This is the order that LAS will be placing players onto teams. You can change this order by changing the draft order number on the teams. ( Teams with the same draft order number will sort alphabetically ) |
| Plyrs/Team | Put here the number of players you want assigned to each team. Using the Team Update you can specify a maximum number of players for each specific team. |
| Division Summary Square | After you have selected a division, this will show a summary of how many teams and players are in the division. It also tells you how many of the players in the division are not assigned to a team. |
| Parity Draft | During a specific round of predraft it may be found that a previous round of predraft (on a different "skill") already assigned one or more players of at least the current level of this type of predraft. |
| PreDraft | Before LAS goes through the normal drafting, you can have certain players to teams they have a connection to. You can choose to pre draft:
|
| Draft Siblings Together | This is different than the other predrafts. If any players are already assigned to teams, then this will make LAS assign any siblings to the same team. During the draft, as players get assigned, the sibling(s) will be also be assigned, even though the sibling would normally not be processed until later. |
| Attribute PreDraft | You can select to have the first several rounds sort by a criteria other than "Overall Average Evaluation" (which is how the normal draft rounds are sorted by). Just use the spacebar to select what criteria for each level, then set the number of rounds to use that criteria for.
You can even have your entire draft consist only of "Attribute PreDraft" rounds. If LAS runs out of players to assign before getting to the normal draft rounds, that's okay!

"I used to dread little league season, with all the hours of paperwork. Trying to schedule all the teams, registering and keeping track of all the players was an absolute nightmare. Your software was an answer to my prayers!
