Duplicate Player Lookup

LAS now has the time-saving ability to identify duplicate players AS YOU ENTER THEM!
If LAS thinks it found a duplicate record (or several likely matches) for the player you have started entering, it will display a list of all the possible duplicates. For example, if you entered "John Smith", a list similar to the one above might appear.
Notice the list is NOT IN ALPHABETIC ORDER. Instead, it is sorted starting with names that sound most like the one you entered.
The columns diplayed are:
- LAS Player Number
- Player's name
- Home phone number
- Parent's Member Number
- Father & Mother's Names
The method LAS uses to identify duplicates is by using the entire last name and only the initial of the first name. This is to catch most nicknames (such as "Jim" for "James"), but will not find other nicknames (such as "Bob" for "Robert"). These will be addressed in a future release of LAS.
