This dialog screen is accessed from the menu by choosing [Personnel ® Players ® Team Assignment].
If you are assigning players to teams in a specific division, enter the division name that you want to set up. If you leave the division blank, all registered players will be displayed. The two parameters below change which division field is used for selecting players.
Next, choose whether you are assigning players to a regular team or to an allstar team. Use the spacebar to choose. If you choose [No], players are selected from the new division, otherwise, they are chosen from the allstar division.
Finally, you may sort the players alphabetically, by number, or by tryout number. If you choose to sort by tryout #, the division selection field used is the tryout division. This is most helpful when manually assigning players to teams during the draft. This makes reference to the tryout rating forms natural and intuitive.
When the list of players appears, you may enter the division and team information for each player. Notice that the division and team name may be abbreviated to the minimum number of characters to make the name unique. For example, if you only have one team beginning with the letter A, you may just enter that letter in the team name column and the team name will be automatically filled in.
