Erase Player Data
This tool enables you to carefully clear certain player data, or to delete specific groups of players, very quickly and easily!
Be careful, the only recovery from these operations is restoring from a backup.
Click "OK" when you have all your settings ready. You'll then be given a player filter dialog box that allows you to select the division and/or team to act on, and even filter the players by age, height, weight, etc.
Click "OK" again, and LAS will count how many players will be affected by your requested action, and ask you for final confirmation.
Click "Yes" to actually perform the selected action.
You have these settings available:
- Action -- This gives you a choice between several different operations on the player data:
- Unregister -- Only changes the players to no longer be registered.
- Delete Player -- This allows you to delete the selected players. Note that the players will only be deleted if they are not registered in any other season.
- Delete Reg. Record -- Each player has two types of records in LAS: One in PLAYER.DBF that contains data that is the same across all seasons (such as their name and birth date), and on in PLYREG.DBF that stores the registration information specific to each season (such as dues, team assignment, etc). This allows you to delete the registration information for the selected players from the current season, without actually delete the basic player data.
- Just Clear Fields -- This clears the data fields that you change to "Yes" in the lower part of the "Clear Information" window.
- Just Clear Ratings -- This clears the evaluation ratings for the selected players without affecting anything else.
- Operate On -- This lets you select which players will be affected by your chosen action:
- Registered Only
- Unregistered Only
- Both (Registered & Unregistered)
- Select Fields to Clear -- If you selected "Just Clear Fields" as your "Action", then these Yes/No toggles allow you to determine which information is cleared. Use the spacebar to toggle from "No" to "Yes" (and back).
