Data Safe

The Data Safe automatically creates a backup each time you shut down LAS. This very quick procedure ensures that you can "step back" to any point in time you like. (If this short time is too long for you, you can turn Data Safe off in [ File... Utilities... Setup... Hardware ]... but we don't recommend doing so!)

To conserve space, Data Safe automatically removes old backups, but it saves:

  • The final backup from each month
  • The final backup from each week of the last 4 weeks
  • The last backup from each day for the last week
  • All backups from today
