Web Registration Form -- Registration Method

Email & Format Settings

This first page lets you decide what method you will use for registration.

If you're using Active.com or Sporg to host your registration form,

• Then, before using this screen to set up LAS, be sure to get your web page working with Sporg or Active.com, then come back to this screen. The most important thing here, for you, is the "User" and "Password".
  • Sporg.com -- The "Download from URL" will be preconfigured to the standard: http://www.sporg.com/sporgservices/ServiceServlet
    You should not have to change this address.
  • eTeamz, Active.com & MyTeam.com: -- The "Download from URL" is the path on your local computer where you will save the AFTF-format file which is downloaded from Active.com.

  That's all there is to setting up League Web Manager to use Sporg or Active.com!

  Go to Downloading Web Registrations for an explanation of how to download your online registrations and merge them into your LAS database.

If you're using a self-hosted web page generated by League Web Manager,

• Then you have a few more options to fill in:

  Provide the email address that the registrations will be sent to. (This address must be in the form username@host.com and must be a POP3 compatible account. You CAN still use this account for other mail, though it's easier to make it dedicated only to registrations. You also can change the format of the emails you will receive: if you choose "Plain Text" then you'll be able to read the registrations you receive, however League Explorer will not be able to automatically merge these into LAS. The best choice is "Golden Retriever": League Explorer will be able to automatically retrieve and merge these registrations into LAS.

  Enter a description for the "Email Subject Line". If you are sharing an email account with normal mail traffic, you can tell Golden Retriver to only retrieve emails with this subject

  Enter the full path to the Golden Retriever executable file (GoldRet.EXE) in "Golden Retriever Location". If you didn't change any paths when installing, this should be C:\AAS\LASWIN\GoldRet.EXE though, if you don't know where it is, you could just type GoldRet.EXE and it should be able to be found.
