Tutorial Step 1 -- General Schedule Information
First, you must tell GameTime some general information about the schedule you want to create.
Click in the field labeled "Schedule Description" and type Sample 10 Team Schedule.
Now, select "Baseball" from the Drop-Down Combo box labeled "Sport"... the "Game Length", "Playing Surface", "Official's Title" and "Officials Per Game" fields will all automatically fill in. You can change these if you need to, but for this sample, let's leave them alone.
You also tell GameTime how many divisions are going to be playing against each other in this schedule by using the spinner labeled "Number of Divisions". This value can be either 1 or 2. For now, leave it as "1".
You can also change the name of the divisions listed in the grid with the title "Division Name". Click on the division name "Div 1", and type instead "Majors".
You also need to tell GameTime when the schedule should start. The "Start Date" field defaults the current date, which most likely is not when you want your schedule to start, so click on the elipsis button 
. From the calendar that pops up, select the month "March" and the day "13" (Monday) and year 2000. When you go to the next field the calendar will disappear. ( You could instead click in the field labeled "Start Date" and type 03/13/2000 )
The "End Date" is Not Necessary! Too often a good schedule is ruined by guessing at an end date that is too soon. GameTime actually doesn't need the end date at all, GameTime always tries to make the schedule take as few weeks as possible, and will actually schedule more quickly without one. The only time you should specify an end date is if you want games that cannot be scheduled by that date to be left unscheduled so that you can place them in the schedule "by hand".
