GameTime Scheduler for Windows Help File
Tutorial Overview
Tutorial Overview
Welcome to GameTime! Simply the most flexible and easiest to use scheduler available! Concentrate on the Important Things You'll save hours of work creating schedules by letting GameTime to the hard work for you, while you can focus on the kids!
The tutorial follows closely the order of the steps of the schedule wizard which are also described elsewhere in this help file, but here are described more by telling you what to do, rather then by explaining what GameTime does or can do. You'll notice in some of the steps of this tutorial that there are links back into the reference section of the GameTime help, and to some explanations of how to make decisions about your own schedule as to what parameters to use.
All that you need to create amazing schedules is:
- - The number of teams (you don't even need the names! but they make the reports look nicer!);
- - The times and fields you are allowed to play on, and
- - The date the schedule is to begin.
That's It!
Of course, GameTime can also handle much more complex schedules where teams aren't always available, fields are sometimes not available, holidays interrupt the schedule, and home fields are required for a travel schedule. Any or all of the above could be involved in any schedule and GameTime makes it easy to describe how you want your schedule!
However, let's begin by creating a simple six team schedule with two fields, with each team playing once during the week and once on the weekend for a total of ten games. And just for fun, let's say that nobody wants to play on July 4th weekend.
