GameTime Scheduler for Windows Help FileBackup Data
The Backup Data dialog box enables you to select the files you want to backup, then can either compress them all into a compressed backup file, or simply copy them all to the folder you specify.
The Backup Dialog looks like this:

This dialog box contains a list to the left that shows all the GameTime data files (*.GTS), all the saved text files (*.TXT), (along with all other files) in the GameTime Data folder. It also shows all the files in the Master Schedule Database folder. When the dialog first appears, none of these files are selected. You can select them individually by clicking on them, or you can right click and select entire categories at a time. When you right click, this shortcut menu will appear:

Once you have selected some files to backup, you can now select the destination folder (which, initially, simply points to the "Backup" folder underneath the current GameTime data folder). If you want to store the backup on a CD-R, we highly recommend you first backup to a location on your hard drive, then use Windows Explorer, or your favorite CD-R authoring software, to write the backup file to the drive. Direct "Drive Letter Access" to CD-R's is not always reliable.
Next, select whether you want to compress all the data files into one ZIP archive file. If you check this checkbox, then the "Backup File Name" textbox will be enabled so that you can give your backup archive file a name. This defaults to today's date, but you can change it to just about any file name (though, as you might notice, it must always begin with "G_" and end with ".ZIP" so that GameTime can recognize it as a GameTime backup file.)
When you are done selecting the backup options, click "OK" to create the backup.
(Note: GameTime cannot compress individual files that are larger than 16MB. GameTime usually doesn't come anywhere close to this size with its own files, but if you are using a League Administration Software database as your GameTime master schedule, then LAS's files will occasionally grow to larger than GameTime can backup. In this circumstance, we recommend you use LAS's Backup function to backup your main LAS database, and use GameTime's backup to only backup the GameTime data files. That is, choose "Select All Data Files (except Master)" when backing up from within GameTime.)
