GameTime Scheduler for Windows Help File

Match Bye Games

If you have an odd number of teams in either division, then GameTime needs to know how to handle the "bye" teams.

Your choices here are:

· Match -- Take the "Bye" team from the first set and match it with the "Bye" team from the second set to create a new pair (or game) in between. Match the 3rd with the 4th, etc.

· Don't Match -- Place the "Bye" teams in the schedule as a single team with no field or time but with a date that keeps it in the same week with the rest of the games from the same set. You can later turn the showing of bye games in the report on or off in the Schedule Editor / Report Designer (This used to be called "Show")

· Discard -- Throw away the "Bye" teams. This way, the scheduler doesn't have to worry about them at all. Scheduling & balancing will be quicker and likely more reliable. (This used to be called "Hide")

"I used to dread little league season, with all the hours of paperwork. Trying to schedule all the teams, registering and keeping track of all the players was an absolute nightmare. Your software was an answer to my prayers!
