GameTime Scheduler for Windows Help File

Double-Set (def)

This is a logical grouping of games so that each team plays in exactly two games. This term is usually used when describing how the Sliding Teams Pairing Method generates sets of pairs, since it generates two sets at a time, and the sets often cannot be divided from each other (hence, we refer to it as a "double-set").

This is true whether there is an even number of teams, or an odd number of teams, though it resembles what happens when there are an odd number of teams and the schedule generation option "Match Byes" is selected, causing a set to contain a "half a game" (since the odd numbered sets have one more game than the even numbered sets.).

"I used to dread little league season, with all the hours of paperwork. Trying to schedule all the teams, registering and keeping track of all the players was an absolute nightmare. Your software was an answer to my prayers!
