LAS Patch Plug-In 12.29

This is a technical support plug-in that allows you to easily apply patches to an installed LAS application. A 'patch' is a quick fix for a malfunction or deficiency.

Follow these instructions to apply these patches:

  • DO NOT RUN ANY PATCHES WITHOUT BEING EXPRESSLY TOLD TO BY AAS TECHNICHAL SUPPORT!!!
  • Make sure that LAS is NOT running.
  • If you have ever run this patch before and you are using Internet Explorer, you may have to clear the Internet Explorer page cache in order to run the latest copy of this patch. To do this:
    • click [ Internet Explorer's Tools Menu => Internet Options...]
    • (the "Internet Options" window will appear)... click the button "Delete Files..."
    • (a "Delete Files" will appear)... click the OK button.
    • Click the "OK" button to close the "Internet Options" window.
    The cache will now be clear, and the latest fixes plug-in file will be downloaded.

    Or this link (for LAS v14): LAS v14 Fixes Plug-In
  • You should see a window like this asking if you want to "Save" or "Open" the target file

    • If the "Open With" list includes "League Administration Software" or "LAS.Plugin", then click "Open with" and select "League Administration Software" or "LAS.Plugin".
      LAS should launch and load the plug-in
    • If the "Open With" does not have "League Administration Software" or "LAS.Plugin", then follow the steps here
  • When you see the window appear inside LAS which looks like this:
    Click on the name of the patch that the Technical Support Representative instructed you to run, then click "OK"
  • The patch should start running and show you its status in a small window
  • When it is complete, a log of what has been done should open in Windows Notepad, and LAS should finish starting up.

    You're Done!


If your computer doesn't recognize the "Fixes.plg" file as an LAS Plug-in file, please follow these instructions to apply these patches from within LAS:

  • Click this link (for LAS v12): LAS v12 Fixes Plug-In
    Or this link (for LAS v14): LAS v14 Fixes Plug-In
  • You should see a window like this asking if you want to "Save" or "Open" the target file
  • Click "Save to Disk", then click "OK".
  • You should see a window like this asking where you would like to save the fixes.plg file:
  • Click the icon for the "Desktop" on the left, then click "Ok" to save "fixes.plg" on your desktop.
  • Launch LAS, log in, then go to [ File ==> Utilities ==> Plug-ins ]
  • Click the "Install" button 1, and an "Open" dialog will appear:
  • Click the "Desktop" icon 2 in the left half of this dialog box, and you will be taken to your desktop folder. "Fixes.plg" should then appear in the dialog.
  • Click "Fixes.plg" 3, then click "Install" 4
  • When you see the window appear inside LAS which looks like this:
    Click on the name of the patch that the Technical Support Representative instructed you to run, then click "OK"
  • The patch should start running and show you its status in a small window
  • When it is complete, a log of what has been done should open in Windows Notepad, and LAS should finish starting up.

    You're Done!
