Golden Retriever can Automatically or Interactively retrieve email responses from your webpage forms from any POP3 server and massage the data into a text file, or a comma delimited ascii file (in either of two formats). Excel and many other programs can easily open and work with the resultant file.
How It Works
Golden Retriever (for Win95/98/NT) retrieves information submitted by forms over the Internet and directs that information into a comma delimited text file ready to import into any database program or spreadsheet.
This is how it works, in a nutshell;
1. Create a HTML form. The form must be set up to post responses to an e-mail address or a Data Demand script. You can even use the koz.com "feedback form" page feature to create your form. 2. Submit data. 3. Run Golden Retriever. Golden Retriever reads through the e-mail account and extracts the form-submitted data. Data is directed into a selected database table automatically.
